The CM16 Raider carbine replica manufactured by G&G was produced as part of the development of the Combat Machine project, the aim of which is to offer high-quality replicas at a price that can be considered economical. Combat Machine replicas are characterised by the high quality and culture of workmanship that characterises the G&G company, as well as the high quality of the materials used.

The main factor that makes it possible to reduce the price is the use of a high-quality plastic housing instead of metal. It is also important that the barrel itself is made of fibreglass-reinforced plastic, as are the foregrip, the buttstock and almost all plastic parts. The outer barrel, the piston guide, the firing pins, the magazine housing and most of the small parts are made of metal.

The GBBR variant of the replica is a sort of extension of the G&G Combat Machine line. Essentially, G&G has used a very simple method to create the new model: a closed-bolt gas module is fitted to the perfectly designed and proven body of the Combat Machine replica, replacing the standard gearbox.

The replica uses a new type of gas system that is characterised by its remarkable performance. Thanks to the extremely precisely manufactured valves, firing a full pellet magazine at a very reproducible rate is no problem. In addition, the magazine can be emptied twice with a single gas charge.

This is a new second-generation model in which the following changes have been made:

- The fire selector switch is located on both sides of the housing
- the magazine release button is located on both sides of the housing
- the replica was enriched with a locking system for the lock in the rear position

The above modifications make the replica fully suitable for left-handers and its design replicates the firearm even better.

The replica was manufactured in the colour sand. It is ideal for use at short to medium distances due to its moderate initial firing speed of ~360 FPS. The attached dorsal RIS rail allows the attachment of any optical sights, while the multi-position butt allows customisation to the user's individual preferences.

The front handle of the replica has been replaced by a set of RIS rails, each 22 mm wide, allowing the attachment of various additional devices and accessories: tactical torch, laser target marker, tactical grip, etc.
