The CM048A replica was manufactured with great attention to detail from steel, metal and high-quality polymer. Housing, top cover, gas tube cover, flash hider were made of steel while other small elements are made of a zinc-aluminium alloy. The pistol grip, the front handguard and the stock are made of reinforced black polymer.

CM048A has a few changes compared to the standard model - these include a profiled pistol grip for better comfort and a front hand guard with 22mm RIS rails allows the installation of many additional accessories, including sights, tactical lights, foregrips and the like.

The replica has a fixed shaft in which the battery is housed. To access the battery, the butt plate must be removed. On the left side of the body there is a Characteristic mounting railwhich enables the attachment of telescopic sights or additional rails.
