Classic Army's R-Series under the Apex brand, in which the manufacturer wanted to pack as much modern airsoft technology as possible while keeping the price relatively low. The R-Series focuses on a modern body design - a design that immediately sets the Apex series apart from the other AR carbine replicas on the market. The R-Series is all about practicality combined with an updated battle rifle style. All manipulators are located on both sides of the replica, making it suitable for both left- and right-handed shooters. The replica has a complete set of efficient manipulators: the magazine release, fire selector and bolt catch on both sides will certainly appeal to many shooters and save skins in many combat situations.

Internally, the R series uses the same gearbox as the Mk.13 series, but the blow-back system has been removed to increase energy efficiency and extend battery and piston life. A precision 6.03mm calibre barrel and metal swivel hop-up (a new and improved hop-up chamber design) are standard on this series. A high-torque electric motor is concealed in the pistol grip. The low-torque triggers have been further improved with a MOSFET circuit that bypasses the trigger switch, reducing power consumption, improving trigger response and reducing thermal overload on internal components.

The housing, the folding sight, the front grip, the outer barrel and the piston guide are made of metal, while the piston and the pistol grip are made of plastic. The flame extinguisher and all mounting parts - pins, springs and screws - are made of steel.

The steel hi-cap magazine supplied holds 300 rounds.
