The Specna Arms SA-G02 carbine replica is predominantly made of a uniform zinc-aluminium alloy, with steel elements being used at the most critical points of the replica (all screws, pins and the tactical suspension handle are made of steel). The fixed buttstock and the pistol grip are made of polymer plastic. The body of the replica and the RIS rail mount are made of a Anodising process which guarantees a high level of corrosion protection for the replica. The replica itself was painted in Powder processafter the surface had been sandblasted. This method of applying paint is known from G&P replicas, among others, and ensures that the applied paint is much more abrasion-resistant than usual. The USMC markings were applied to the barrel.

This allows for quick and efficient adjustment of the replica's performance to the expected field conditions without the need for access to a workshop or a range of specialised tools - after removing the gearbox from the replica's body, the actual spring change takes literally seconds.

Given the prevailing tendency throughout Europe towards legal restrictions on the speed at which replicas can be ejected and the regulations that exist in the environments themselves, this system guarantees the user considerable possibilities and a great deal of freedom. The Enter & Convert™ system makes it possible to change the mainspring with a minimum of time and thus adapt the replica's exit speed to the playing area, ensuring an ideal compromise between the effectiveness of the fire and the safety of oneself and other players.

The replica has been fully adapted for operation with LiPo and LiFe batteries. With an initial discharge speed of ~410 FPS guaranteed by the factory fitted mainspring, the replica is perfect for medium range use. An M90 spring is also included, which allows the initial speed to be reduced to ~310 FPS, making the replica perfect for short distance or indoor use.

The gearbox, which is reinforced at cylinder head height, houses a steel spring guide, which is part of the Enter & Convert™ system, as well as steel gears mounted on 8 mm ball bearings and washers. The system is secured against reversing by four pawls. The lightweight polycarbonate piston is fitted with a steel tooth to increase its strength. A type 2 cylinder and a steel interrupter are also used here, as well as a metal hop-up chamber.

After removing the transport handle, we gain access to the 22 mm RIS back rail. This gives us the option of equipping the carbine with different types of optical sights. The replica is equipped with adjustable mechanical sights made of metal. The rechargeable battery is located in the centre of the fixed butt. The standard flame arrester is mounted on a 14 mm left-hand thread which allows a silencer to be fitted in its place.

The replica has a factory-fitted long 40mm M203 grenade launcher for firing gas grenades, complete with full mounting in place of the standard front bed and mechanical sights. Straight out of the box this is an ideal assault kit, also invaluable for re-enactments.

To increase the realism of the game, the replica is also equipped with a functioning shutter release.

The replica is supplied with a steel high-cap magazine that holds 300 rounds. It corresponds in colour to the magazines developed for the typical firearms of the armed forces.

In the latest version of the ASCU2 Gen.4+ chip, we receive improved software that protects the chip from damage caused by the use of damaged or inferior battery packs.

ASCU is a two-part electronic module (control unit and sensor unit), which, when installed in Airsoft replicas, can be used as a control unit or sensor unit, their performance significantly improved. The traditional contact system has been replaced by a sensor unit that monitors the current position of the piston pinion, the fire selector and the trigger. The collected information is forwarded to the control unit - where software in the processor analyses it and controls the motor of the replica via an active MOSFET brake.

The Gen.4 version is first and foremost:

ASCU optimises the gearbox v.2 and makes the replica equivalent to the most expensive and sophisticated replicas of the PTW class.

The ASCU system monitors the operation of the replica independently of the speed of the trigger and is responsible for the complete execution of the piston cycle in both semi-automatic and continuous fire mode. After each shot, the piston stops in the starting position.

ASCU has a Low Drain Protection-system, which was specially developed to prevent damage to the lithium polymer batteries (LiPo).

ASCU interrupts the firing mode of the replica in the event of problems and thus protects the internal components from further damage.

It is recommended to use either an 11.1 or a 12V battery.
The 7.4 and 8.4V batteries can only be used in configurations with the M90-M100 main spring.
