The JG replica is made of metal and plastic. The outer barrel, the iron sights, the magazine, the trigger and the RIS rail system are made of metal, while the body, the stock and the pistol grip are made of robust plastic. This composition is also practised by the well-known company Tokyo Marui and this solution makes it possible to give the replica durability without making it very heavy.

The long outer barrel (with a 509mm long inner barrel) is fitted with a 14mm anti-clockwise thread, which allows almost all types of silencers to be fitted.
