The TCI LIBERATOR II headset is equipped with two active microphones (one near each headset) that pick up external noise and transmit it to the user in amplified form. The user can adjust the volume to suit their own needs. The volume control interface is located on the left earphone.

All noises that are hazardous to hearing are attenuated to a level that is safe for the ears. When the hazardous sounds stop, the headset settings return to normal operation. The set is equipped with an adjustable headband that is covered with fabric and should be placed directly over the user's neck. Its design allows it to be adjusted to fit the head of any user.

The headset is powered by two AA batteries. Each headset has space for one battery.
