The replica of the CM16 LMG rifle manufactured by G&G was presented as part of the Project Combat Machine whose idea is to offer high quality replicas at a price that can be considered economical. The Combat Machine replicas are characterised by the high-quality workmanship and work culture typical of G&G, as well as the high quality of the materials used. Thus, the main factor that allows the price to be reduced is the use of a casing made of high quality glass-reinforced plastic instead of metal.

The housing, the pistol grip, the piston or the RIS front in the M-LOK mounting system are made of plastic. The outer barrel, the trigger mechanism, the slide and smaller components, on the other hand, are made of metal.

The rifle is ideal for medium-range support operations due to its trigger speed of ~410 FPS. The dorsal RIS rail used allows the attachment of any optical sight, while the telescopic, reloadable buttstock allows customisation to the user's individual preferences. A front grip with bipod is included in the scope of delivery. The compact dimensions of the replica will certainly appeal to CQB players.

In addition to the usual high-quality G&G parts, GB has installed an innovative ETU system (Electronic Trigger Unit). This system complements the function of the MOSFET system. Thanks to the electronic trigger operation, the system has an excellent trigger response. Each press of the trigger results in a full GB cycle.

The ETU system has programmable trigger modes. Basically, the user has access to SAFE - SEMI - and the choice between FULL AUTO and 3-shot burst modes. Programming is trivial - simply set the selector to the SEMI position and hold the trigger down for 10 seconds. Once this is done, the selected mode is activated at the third selector switch position.

The kit contains an electric box magazine that holds 2,500 rounds and is covered by a Cordura cover in Multicam camouflage colour. It is powered by 2 AA batteries.
