Thanks to the G&G company, another tidbit for historical replica lovers and fans of historical airsoft came onto the market. A long-awaited replica of a well-known vehicle that entered service in 1942, Machine gun 42 - MG42 machine gun. A design that spread fear and terror in the hands of the soldiers of the Third Reich (and not only!) on almost all fronts of the Second World War and became a legend over the years. 

At first glance (and the feeling!) it is obvious that this is not a toy, but a solid piece of work. The size and details of the original have been imitated as closely as possible, and the Full metal construction enables a considerable weight - almost 11 kg without loaded magazine. The polymer parts include: Pistol grip panels (as on the original gun) and the ammunition belt from the magazine.

The replica is largely made of steel, namely: the bipod, the barrel cover, the flash hider, the entire receiver, the magazine and all mechanisms associated with the barrel release and reloading are made of steel. The outer barrel is made from an alloy of zinc and Aluminium manufactured. The gearbox was made from 6061 Aluminium manufactured with the aid of CNC machines. Polymer parts include the feeder/magazine end, the round dummies and the pistol grip.

The stock of the replica was, just like the sharp original weapon, made from naturally varnished wood manufactured. The hop-up adjustment ring is located under the dust cap. The Solid steel bipod can be locked and unfolded under the barrel. Just as the sharp original was adapted for firing aircraft, the replica also has a corresponding "L-Rear sight" iron sights.

In order to operate the airsoft "Hitler's saw" (as it was called by the Allies), a special, specially designed and reinforced gearbox installed inside the replica and, among other things, a Set of steel gears and metal 10mm oil-free bearings. It has a 490 mm long and efficient inner race. The gearbox has a Quick spring change system.

MG42 is fed with an electrically driven box magazine, which is a faithful imitation of the original is. Its housing was Made entirely of steel manufactured. The magazine can hold up to 1700 BBs and is powered by a 7.4V battery.
