The Hop-Up Bucking is made of silicone, thanks to which it retains its properties even at low temperatures, as it does not harden as is the case with ordinary rubber. The special design of the bucking band ensures the perfect tightness of the barrel hop-up chamber bucking system.

What is the Hop-Up system?

Hop-Up is the backspin that is placed on the BBs to increase their range through the Magnus effect used in airsoft replicas. The Magnus effect flattens the trajectory of a flying bullet, making it similar to the trajectory of a real firearm bullet.

In practice, it is a properly moulded rubber or silicone seal that causes the accelerated ball to rotate by touching it. The simplest explanation of how the hop-up system works is that the rolled ball creates more friction with the air on one side, causing it to spin. If the spin is on the horizontal axis, the ball rotates upwards and thus balances out the force of gravity.

The force with which the hop-up is pressed onto the ball determines how much it arches and therefore the strength of the ascent. The heavier the ball, the stronger the pressure of the hoop must be (because the heavier ball has greater inertia and falls down faster). But it also works the other way round - if a light ball is bent too much, it can fly beyond the line of fire.
