Description
Complete v.3 gear set, std. torque
Complete gearbox for replicas of the AK type. During production, E&L engineers took the best solutions from the market and implemented some of their own solutions. The set includes the ELM120 Standard Torque Motor, which works with neodymium magnets. The structure of the bearings is interesting and well thought out - the bevel gear and spur gear are mounted on ball bearings, while the sector gear is mounted on a plain bearing. On the one hand, this reduces the overall resistance of the two gears. On the other hand, the risk of a malfunction in the sector gear is minimised thanks to this solution.
Another point is the missing upper guide on the larger part of the piston. It has an unrivalled influence on performance stability and significantly reduces friction. Both of these solutions increase the overall performance of the gearbox and lead to a higher firing rate with lower energy consumption.
The pneumatic system consists of a silenced piston and cylinder head, which increases the service life of the system through better amortisation. The spring guide is mounted on bearings and there is a larger deceleration element on the sector gear. The function is to give the cartridge more time to be inserted into the hop-up chamber, which is particularly important in high rate of fire configurations.
In the bearing, the gearbox has a M130 spring installed, which allows speeds of ~430fps to be achieved. In order to assess the actual durability of the installed parts, the manufacturer carried out tests with M150 and M170 springs, all of which were positive. In the first test with M150, around 20,000 rounds were fired and the parts were only minimally worn. This clearly shows that using the standard configuration with the M130 spring ensures that the entire system is reliable and durable.
