The L85/L86 rifles have a characteristic, unique bullpup-design in which the bolt group and magazine are located inside the "stock", behind the trigger and pistol grip. The outer barrel has a 14 mm left-hand thread ("negative"), which allows the attachment of muzzle devices, flash hiders or silencers.
