M9 VE pistol replica by KJW made of metal and ABS. The metal parts include the frame, breech, barrel, all moving parts and the magazine. The polymer parts include the grip panels. Under the barrel is a 22 mm RIS rail that allows the attachment of all types of laser sights. The replica has a sash safety that prevents accidental release. It does not block the trigger too tightly, but it interrupts any locks that release the hammer, which triggers the firing of the replica by striking the valve inside the magazine.

The replica has a recoil system that increases the realism of shooting by setting the slide in motion. After the last BB has left the barrel, the bolt remains locked in the rear position.
