Superblast safety goggles

Comfortable, lightweight, elegant safety spectacles with adjustable temples and a metal frame with a non-slip rubber coating at the points of contact with the skin. They not only protect against mechanical damage and UV radiation, but also against heat (with a temperature of up to 420°C).

The goggles have a very high - by airsoft standards - value for the hardness of the lenses - F. This is expressed in the mechanical resistance of the material. It is comparable to the resistance to so-called low energy impacts. The lenses are designed to withstand a direct hit from a steel ball with a diameter of 6 mm and a mass of 0.86 g travelling at a speed of 45 m / s. This corresponds to a kinetic energy impact. Converted, this corresponds to a kinetic energy of 0.87 J.

The optical class of the glasses is determined on the basis of their optical parameters. Eye and face protection is divided into 3 classes. Glasses in optical class 1 are intended for continuous use (i.e. these glasses can also be used as sunglasses or safety glasses for everyday use), while class 3 glasses are intended for short-term use.

What is EN166?

The EN166 standard applies to all types of personal eye protection devices used to protect against a variety of hazards that may occur in industry, laboratories, school buildings, DIY, etc., where eye damage or visual impairment may occur, with the exception of radiation of nuclear origin, X-rays, laser emissions and infrared (IR) radiation from low temperature sources. The provisions of this standard do not apply to eye protection where there are separate and complete standards, such as laser eye protection, sunglasses for general use, etc., where these standards refer to this standard. Eye protection fitted with corrective lenses is not excluded from the scope. The tolerances for focusability and other characteristics that correlate with the corrections are listed in ISO / DIS8980-1 and ISO / DIS8980-2.
