The Explorer version is the "budget" line of the S&T replica family. It allows the T21 to be sold at a lower price without compromising the high manufacturing quality. The basic changes include the absence of the EBB (Electric Blow Back) mechanism and slightly different materials for production.

The replica was largely made of polymer - just like its real counterpart. The outer barrel, the magazine and other small elements have been made of metal while the body from reinforced polymer.

The carbine has all the features of a real firearm, including folding sights and top 22mm RIS rail enables the installation of various aiming devices. The hop-up setting is achieved by pulling back the charging handle and opening the ejection port. An interesting special feature is a working bolt catcher. The outer barrel has a 14mm CCW thread and a flash hider.
