Replica of the TR4-18 DST carbine

Replica of the TR4-18 carbine from G&G was produced as part of the Top Tech series. During the production Metal (including steel) and plastic are used. The steel parts include the magazine, the cartridge ejection port cover, the bolt, the trigger and the flame arrester as well as the mechanical sights. The cell guide, the barrel, the outer barrel and most of the small parts are made of a uniform zinc-aluminium alloy. The piston base is made of rubber. The length of the piston is adjustable, which enables Customisation of the replica to the conditions and physique of the user.

The fire selector is located on the left side of the replica and is labelled with graphic descriptions of the fire modes of the replica. The replica is equipped with a PBB system that perfectly imitates the effect of a flammable counterpart. It sets the dummy breech block in motion and causes a noticeable "kick" of the replica in the shooter's arm

After pulling back the reloading handle, the cartridge ejector cover opens and the dummy bolt moves back to the rear position. This allows the hop-up to be adjusted. Interestingly, the breech block also plays an important role here: when it is depressed, the recoil latch in the gearbox is released, thereby releasing the recoil spring. This considerably extends the service life of the replica and enables a high rate of fire, as the effects of spring wear are minimised.

The replica is made in sand colour. It is ideal for Medium to long-haul applications due to the M130 spring used, which offers an exit velocity of ~395 FPS. The standardised dorsal RIS rail allows the attachment of any optical sighting device. In addition, thanks to a full set of RIS rails located in the place of the front grip, it is possible to attach additional equipment - tactical grip, torch, laser target marker, etc. - to the rifle.

The kit also includes a sighting unit that is mounted on the RIS rail.

The battery pack fits into the SF flask. Thanks to the considerable amount of space inside the flask, it is possible to use an energy source of considerable size and therefore considerable capacity.

The TR4-18 carbine replica is well suited as a basic assault rifle. Thanks to the appropriate barrel length and the sealed pneumatic system equipped with a high-quality chamber and HU rubber, it was possible to achieve a reasonable firing velocity while maintaining a stable bullet trajectory and considerable carrying capacity. The initial launch velocity is sufficient to allow safe and effective use of the replica both in CQB/MOUT games and in the open field.

The carabiner usesthe phenomenal BlowBack systemwhich adds realism to the use of the replica and provides the user with an additional experience.

Pneumatic Blow Back works by channelling part of the compressed air from the gearbox into a special cylinder above the frame. The piston in the PBB cylinder moves a thin plate attached to it, which imitates a lock.

Note: The manufacturer advises against using batteries that are stronger than 8.4 V, as the plate in question could be damaged.

G&G replicas with the PBB system have a Reinforced, modified V2 gearbox. Modifications include the adaptation to the PBB system and the addition of an "active spring release" in the form of a locking button.

The gearbox is equipped with 8 mm ball bearings, a brass cylinder head and an aluminium piston head.
