LiIon batteries are characterised by an increased current capacity. They have no so-called memory effect, so they can be recharged very often (it is even advisable) without the properties of the battery deteriorating. They are also characterised by a small volume in relation to the stored energy (they are exceptionally small and light).

LiIon batteries should not be left in a minimum charge for a long period of time, as this can lead to a deterioration of the properties guaranteed by the manufacturer and damage to the cells. For safety, good performance and the parameters specified by the manufacturer, it is important not to discharge the battery to the end and not to overcharge it. The batteries of the LiIon family have a low self-discharge rate. On a monthly basis, depending on the environmental conditions, up to approx. 8%.
