As with the KP-13 from KJ Works or the GP1799 from Wei-ETech, the AWC VX pistol series are so-called hybrid pistols. The basic design of these airsoft pistols is based on sharp original pistols, but they are completely customised and therefore no longer directly comparable with the original model. The VX7200 comes in a very modern, angular exterior design and is manufactured in an authentic full-size ratio. As with the AWC airsoft replicas already available, this model is also very well made. Of particular interest on the VX7200 are the eye-catching cut-outs on the sides and top in the front area of the slide. Together with the angular design, these ensure the perfect customised look.

Already familiar from many other modern pistols, the AWC VX7200 airsoft model also uses a grip made of lightweight polymer composite. This material is very stable and at the same time reduces the overall weight of the pistol, which increases manoeuvrability during use. In addition to the complete slide, the metal parts also include many external fittings, such as the safety, trigger, hammer, outer barrel, slide stop lever, ... as well as almost all other parts inside the pistol. The precisely manufactured gas blow-back model has a very high firing efficiency. Due to AWC's many years of experience with gas blowback airsoft replicas, this airsoft pistol is equipped with a very powerful GBB system, which ensures an impressive shooting experience and a very strong recoil.

All functions are functional as with original pistols. The slide is disassembled using the disassembly lever in the centre and the slide stop and the integrated trigger safety also function authentically. The VX7200 is also equipped with a transport trigger safety. This is located underneath the underbarrel rail and can only be inserted when cocked.

Another feature of the VX7200 from AWC is the grip, which is integrated into the pistol frame. This comes in a straight design and also has a very non-slip texture. The surface texture of this pistol ensures a particularly secure grip in any situation. Practical - a round opening has been incorporated into the lower part of the back of the grip so that a lanyard can be attached. Of course, this modern pistol is also equipped with a Picatinny rail in the front area of the frame, which provides additional mounting options.

However, the metal slide is one of the pistol's highlights. In addition to the angular look, the so-called cut-outs ensure a perfect custom design. Thanks to these openings on the top and sides of the slide, the outer barrel can be seen. In addition to a more aggressive look, the reduction in material also reduces the weight of the sled. This is both an efficient and positive feature, as less mass has to be moved during the shooting process. The rear sight and front sight are still highlighted in white for easier sighting.

The firing mode of the AWC VX7200 airsoft pistol is similar to that of the original pistols. First insert a loaded magazine, then pull the slide backwards. The pistol is now ready to fire. When the trigger is pulled, the metal slide moves backwards and forwards again for each shot, just like a real pistol, thanks to the gas blow-back firing system. This creates a true-to-life shooting sensation, as a metallic sound is also emitted when the gun is fired. When the magazine is empty, the slide stops at the rear, just like a real pistol. After inserting a new or loaded magazine, the slide stop must also be pressed in order to continue firing.

Up to 25 6mm BB round pellets can be loaded into the removable soft air gas magazine. An adjustable Hop-Up System for adjusting the bullet trajectory is located inside the slide on the outer barrel. The pistol is specified ex works with a maximum firing capacity of 1 joule.

The gun can also be operated with CO2 as an option. A CO2 magazine is required for this (see accessories).
