VFC XCR carbine replica is made of metal and very durable polymer. The receiver of the replica together with the external barrel and foldable stock as well as elements such as the trigger, the magazine release and the firing mode selector are all made of metal. The comfortable, moulded pistol grip, on the other hand, was made of polymer. The replica was manufactured under a licence from the American gun manufacturer "Robinson Arms" based in Saltlake City.

Particularly noteworthy is the very comfortable, laterally folding stock, which is equipped with a rubber stock pad that prevents the replica from slipping when shooting. The upper also has a comfortable, soft sponge.
