zSor Headset

The set has two microphones (one on each earcup) that pick up and amplify external sounds. The user can adjust the volume according to personal preference. By adjusting the volume of the radio and headset, both volumes can be equalised so that both the radio traffic and sounds from the surroundings can be heard. It is even possible to set the headset to amplify ambient noise to improve hearing perception or to mute it completely if it makes it difficult to hear the radio traffic or disturbs concentration.

In addition, all noises that are harmful to hearing are reduced in volume to a level that is safe for the human ear. As soon as the harmful noises have ceased, the headset settings are reset to the normal level. The set has an adjustable, leatherette-covered arm that allows it to be customised to each user's head. The microphone is attached to an elasticated arm. Power is supplied by two AA batteries. To complete the set, it is necessary to combine it with a PTT module and a radio.
