The ASK209 carbine replica from APS is a innovative product equipped with a gearbox with the brand name "Silver Edge". The ASK201 is built on the basis of the popular Soviet rifles and is equipped with Wooden elements - a stock and a hand guard. The housing and magazine were subjected to a process of visual wear which makes the replica look like a veteran weapon that was used in many games as soon as it was taken out of the box.

The replica is largely made of steel. The receiver, the dust cover, the outer barrel, the trigger guard, the buttstock, the magazine, the fire selector and some small parts are made of steel, while the trigger, the mechanical sights and the rest of the small elements are made of a uniform zinc and aluminium alloy. The side mount, the so-called "Swallowtail", enables the attachment of optical sights such as the PSO-1 scope or the Kobra red dot sight to the replica.

The centrepiece of the replica is the new "Silver Edge" gearbox. It has been developed and manufactured with innovative and more user-friendly technology and is, according to the manufacturer's comparative tests 33% more efficient in terms of energy consumption than the standard system. It is equipped with a Quick spring change system which allows the user to change the muzzle velocity of the bullet without having to open the gearbox. In addition, the design is completely compatible with most standard tuning and spare parts available on the market, making it easy to tune the replica.

The reinforced gear wheels are limited to 8 mm mounted on metal bearings. The electrical system consists of silver-plated, low-impedance cables which ensure stable operation, and the motor of the replica is equipped with a metal core. The cylinder and the inner barrel were made from stainless steel.

The replica is labelled with the EBB system - an electrical system that imitates the operation of the breech. This increases the immersion when using the replica, making it similar to the operation of a real firearm and thus providing additional pleasure when firing the weapon.
