The CM048SU replica is made of steel, metal and high-quality plywood with the highest level of detail. The elements such as the receiver, the folding stock, the gas tube replica, the recoil reducer and the dust cover are made of steel, while the other smaller metal elements such as the magazine are made of an alloy of zinc and aluminium. The pistol grip is made of high-quality plastic, while the front grip is made of plywood, which presents well and fits comfortably in the shooter's hands.

The replica was fitted with a metal hop-up chamber. In this replica, a robust V.3 gearbox was used, the standard gearbox for AK replicas. In this case, however, it was additionally modified and fitted with a reinforced housing. The next reinforced elements are the 7mm steel sleeve bearings, the reinforced steel threaded gears and the directional piston head, which increases the efficiency of the entire mechanism.

The use of the M125 mainspring in combination with the piston, which is fitted with an aluminium sleeve, results in a muzzle velocity of 430 FPS, which is quite high for an assault rifle. This is also influenced by the use of a reinforced ball-bearing main spring guide.

This model is fully compatible with products from CM, Boyi or GFC - this means that modifications, tuning or servicing are just as easy as buying additional magazines.
