MK18 MOD I (B.R.S.S.) carbine replica from the Taiwanese BOLT Airsoft company is undoubtedly a significant step forward in the development of AEG replicas. Thanks to innovative solutions, it has finally been possible to recreate the experience of a GBBR replica in a a AEG replica. In short, BOLT Airsoft was able to create an assault rifle replica that really has a "kick" that it should have.  

Thanks to Daniel Defence we can enjoy the markings of the original weapon, which are attached to the receiver and the front RIS 22 mm mounting rail of the replica. 

The replica was made from high quality Materials with the greatest attention to detail manufactured. All metal elements were made from Aluminium manufactured. In addition, some elements were made from Steel such as: the flash hider, the magazine and the stock retaining ring. The alignment of the elements is not an issue of concern. There are no loose partsespecially between the upper and lower receiver, which is characteristic of "top shelf" replicas. The inconsistent paintwork of the replica is also interesting. Instead of a deep black colour, which is often seen on replicas, here we have different shades of black and a barrel and many other small elements in a steel colour. This has brought the appearance of the replica closer to the original, giving it a more realistic look. This effect is further enhanced by the use of a colour that gives the surface a grainy texture.

The replica has a telescopic SF stock with multiple positions, a thick rubber stock pad and bushings for attaching a tactical QD sling. The top of the replica has a RIS 22 mm rail that allows the attachment of additional accessories. The ergonomic foregrip is made of polymer, similar to the pistol grip. The replica has a finish in the form of a steel flash hider. The replica is supplied with a Hi-Cap magazine with a capacity of up to 300 BBs delivered.

The biggest plus of this replica is undoubtedly the recoil and shutter simulation system. It consists of two independent elements: an imitation of the standard shutter, as known from most EBB replicas, and a separate system installed inside the buffer tube. This system consists of springs, an inertia element and a system that transfers the energy from the piston to the inertia element. The experience offered by the implementation of this solution cannot be compared to anything previously offered by other series manufacturers of AEG replicas. An important fact is that due to certain design differences resulting from the implementation of the blow-back system, the replica is to a large extent the same as TM's V.2 standard. The only important difference is the piston with a characteristic notch. However, it is equipped with a series of metal teeth, which guarantees considerable durability. The compatibility of the other parts of the gearbox guarantees easy tuning and access to spare and maintenance parts when needed. A high-quality hop-up chamber in combination with a 6.01 mm precision barrel guarantees excellent performance, despite the short barrel ideal for CQB.
