Description

The Selvatica Tactical MID GTX is an advanced, mid-cut, low-profile trekking boot that perfectly combines high breathability with exceptional support, stability and impact absorption.

The Selvaticas were primarily developed as trekking shoes and are very versatile and practical in different terrains in spring, summer and autumn. Thanks to their sophisticated design and high level of comfort, they are also suitable for military applications and normal everyday use.

The shoes are made from the AIR8000® textile developed by AKU, rubber and high-quality polymers in a matt, non-reflective colour palette. The shoes utilise several modern technologies and patented solutions. These include the Vibram® Selvatica Megagrip sole, the IMS2 EVA midsole, the Gore-Tex® membrane, the Elica Natural Stride System and the OrthoLite® insole.

The AIR8000® system increases breathability by a factor of eleven compared to similar textiles used in comparable boots. Even 20 years after its introduction, AIR8000® is still one of the most advanced technologies ensuring exceptional breathability of the boot. An additional heat treatment of the polyurethane film increases durability and minimises moisture absorption.

The Vibram® Selvatica Megagrip sole is injection-moulded from high-quality rubber and offers a balanced grip that ensures optimum performance on any terrain. The Elica Natural Stride System used in the construction is an anatomical outsole that replicates the natural shape of the foot.

The injection-moulded EVA midsole stabilises the foot and offers an excellent fit for the best comfort during prolonged use. The Gore-Tex membrane increases breathability, water resistance and moisture transport. IMS2 technology has been used to reinforce the connection between the sole and the midsole and ensure optimum shock absorption and foot stabilisation for the best comfort during prolonged wear.

A revised quick lacing system allows the shoes to be laced quickly and easily. The materials used and the reinforced lance hole construction ensure high wear resistance and durability of the system.
