Description
Hop-up chamber for the LCK replicas
The hop-up chamber was developed for the LCK family of replicas and is made of high-quality plastic. The plastic used to make the chamber guarantees durability and a long service life.
What is the Hop-Up system?
The hop-up system is a system that gives the BB pellet fired by airsoft replicas a spinning motion. It uses the Magnus effect to flatten the trajectory of a flying projectile and therefore makes it look similar to the trajectory of a real firearm projectile.
In reality, it is a properly moulded rubber or silicone seal that creates a spinning motion by contact with an accelerated airgun pellet. The simplest way to explain the hop-up system is to say that a BB pellet that is rotated from one side creates more friction to the air, allowing it to rotate. When the rotation takes place in the horizontal axis, the ball turns upwards and compensates for the force of gravity.
The strength with which the hop-up rubber touches the ball determines how much it rotates and therefore rises. The heavier the airgun pellet is, the greater the pressure of the hop-up rubber must be (while the heavier airgun pellet has greater inertia and falls down faster). It also works the other way round - if a light airgun pellet is turned too much, it can go over the firing line.
