Replica of the KelTec PLR16 carabiner

PLR16 is a replica of the compact gas-operated PLR16 karabiner (GBBR) from EC. Thanks to the Licence of the manufacturer of the combustible original (KelTec) we can look at the eyesauthentic markings and the nomenclature.

The replica has been perfectly modelled on the flammable original and has an excellent fit. It is largely made of high quality Polymer plastic Reinforced with fibreglass manufactured. The body of the replica, as well as the foregrip and pistol grip, are made of polymer. Elements such as the barrel, the sights and the dummy lock are made of metal.

The replica has Extremely compact dimensionsThis makes it easy to manoeuvre, for example in confined spaces and at short distances, where a quick response is crucial. It is also equipped with 22mm RIS rails which allow the attachment of additional accessories such as optical sights, tactical lighting or vertical foregrips.

The rifle can be converted into a even shorter "pistol" unit by removing the butt together with the slide. This is made possible by the use of a different mechanism to the standard AR-15 system. A 3-position pin serves as a selector/safety switch, and the replica enables single and continuous firing.

Shooting with the KelTec PLR16 offers an interesting experience through the use of a strong blow-back system. The realism is emphasised by the functioning Bolt Catch System When the last bullet has been fired, the bolt remains in the rear position. When inserting the next magazine, the bolt must be pressed to release the locking mechanism and thus release the bullet into the chamber - just like with the original combustible version. This system can be deactivated via a switch in the magazine so that a "dry" shot can also be fired with an empty magazine.

The replica is supplied with a real-cap magazine that holds 20 bullets in addition to the green gas tank. The replica is compatible with Standard magazines M4 (STANAG) of the EC.
