L1A1 SLR Semi-Automatic Rifle Replica

A replica of the British L1A1 SLR (Self-Loading-Rifle). The L1A1 is a British, so-called "inch version" of the Belgian FN FAL assault rifle, which was used by over 70 countries in various modified versions. Today, the FAL is almost no longer in service, although it is still used in some parts of the world. The history of the FAL begins around '46, when FN (Fabrique Nationale) began work on a new rifle chambered for the German 7.92×33 mm short bullet. From '53 to '54, the FAL was tested by the American army and the design was adapted to their needs, i.e. to the use of 7.62×51 mm NATO ammunition.

The replica is a British version of the FN FAL, known as the L1A1 SLR, which was used during the Falkland Islands campaign. The replica is the result of ARES' efforts to introduce the L1A1 to the airsoft world. The replicas are mainly made of metal with the exception of Steel Dust cover, magazine and transport handle. Wooden parts include the stock, pistol grip and hand guard.

TThe replica has a fire mode selector with only two settings (like the real gun):

- S - Safe;

- R - Round.

Battery is located inside the stock of the replica, to gain access to it, the butt pad must be pulled back and rotated to be tilted. The replica has Tamiya small connections and is compatible with LiPo 7.4V batteries. It has a fully functional hop-up system that can be adjusted by pulling back the charging handle.
