Description

LiPo 11.1V 850mAh 20C battery

:

Lithium-ion polymer ( LiPo ) batteries are the successors to the well-known lithium-ion ( LiIon ) batteries. The main advantage of LiPo batteries is undoubtedly the ratio of capacity to size. They are very small and at the same time have a very high current carrying capacity, so that a suitable battery can be selected for practically any AEG replica. They have no memory effect. They can be recharged very frequently without being discharged first. Frequent charging is an advantage for this type of battery.

Please remember not to use a LiPo pack below 3V per cell to discharge and not over 4.2V per cell to charge. Another advantage of LiPo batteries is their low self-discharge rate. If they are not used, they lose about 3-5 % of their energy per month. It is necessary to keep an eye on the battery, as very long storage can lead to a discharge below the minimum permissible value (3 V per cell) and irreversible chemical reactions, which can lead to a deterioration in the battery properties and even permanent damage or, in extreme cases, ignition. An unused LiPo pack should have an average charge of approx. 70%.

When operated correctly, the service life of LiPo packs is 500-700 cycles on average. An important aspect is the temperature at which LiPo batteries can be operated. Unlike other batteries, LiPo cells work well at low temperatures. However, they should be charged at room temperature. To keep LiPo batteries in good condition, they should be balanced during charging with a service plug, which most LiPo packs have (a good LiPo charger has a built-in balancer).
