SA-A02 assault rifle replica from Specna Arms is mostly made of uniform zinc and aluminium alloy, reinforced with steel elements in the most vulnerable points of the replica (steel elements - all screws, pins and tactical sling swivels). Both the SF stock, which houses the battery, and the pistol grip are made of polymer. The housing of the replica and the RIS handguard were anodised, which guarantees a high level of corrosion protection. The paint was applied using a powder coating process after the surface had been sandblasted before the paint was applied. This type of paint application is familiar from replicas from G&P, for example, and ensures a much higher abrasion resistance of the applied paint.

The parts of the replica are very well matched - the replica is also perfectly balanced in a way that was previously only seen in replicas from top manufacturers such as G&P or Classic Army. This allows for almost ideal manoeuvrability of the replica and the weight is hardly noticeable once you have shouldered the replica.

The replica has a new generation quick release system, the so-called SAEC™. Thanks to this system, it is possible to quickly and easily adjust the performance of the replica to the expected conditions on the pitch without having to have access to a workshop or a set of special tools. Changing the spring is even quicker than with the previous version of the system.

Thanks to the SAEC™ system, it is not necessary to remove the gearbox from the replica - it is enough to remove the shaft slider (without tools - it is fastened with a tightened ring and a latch), after which it is necessary to unscrew the pin located under it together with a spring slider on bearings. We replace the main spring, screw the pin back into the body, attach the shaft and... we're back in the game! The whole process only takes a moment and, to reiterate, requires no tools at all.

The advantages of the SAEC™ system can hardly be overestimated. Given the current tendency throughout Europe to use legal restrictions on muzzle velocity of replicas or internal regulations within different groups, the system guarantees the user a wide range of options and a great deal of freedom. The SAEC™ system makes it possible to change the mainspring in a minimum of time and thus adapt the muzzle velocity to the playing area in such a way that an ideal compromise between the effectiveness of the fire and safety for the user himself and for other participants is guaranteed.

The replica is fully compatible with LiPo and LiFe batteries. Due to the basic muzzle velocity of ~430 FPS, which is achieved by the main spring installed by the manufacturer as standard, the replica is perfectly suited for medium range operation. The set also includes an M90 spring, which makes it possible to reduce the muzzle velocity to ~310 FPS and thus adapt the replica for use at close range and indoors.

A reinforced gearbox at cylinder level contains a steel spring carriage, which is an element of the SAEC™ system and is mounted on 8 mm steel ball bearings and washers. The system is secured with four anti-reverse locks. A lightweight polycarbonate piston is fitted with steel teeth to increase its durability. There is a type 2 cylinder and the steel breaker. The replica is factory fitted with a precise, rotating polymer hop-up unit that allows for very accurate and stable regulation of BB overclocking.

The replica is equipped with a long, upper RIS 22 mm rail and a RIS handguard. This allows a variety of additional attachments to be fitted to the replica, from optical sights, grips and tactical lighting to laser sights. There are metal folding sights on the upper RIS rail that can be quickly removed. The extendable stock with non-slip stock pad makes it possible to adjust the length of the replica to the user's body type and preferences. The standard flash hider is based on a 14 mm left-hand thread, in place of which a silencer can be fitted.

To increase the realism of the game, the replica also has a functioning bolt catch mechanism.

The replica also comes with a 300 BB Hi-Cap magazine made of steel. Its colour pattern corresponds to the magazines for live firearms typically used by armed forces.
