The SA-B16 carbine replica from Specna Arms is predominantly made of a uniform zinc-aluminium alloy, with steel elements being used at the most critical points of the replica (all screws, pins and the tactical suspension are made of steel). Both the battery compartment and the pistol grip are made of polymer plastic. The housing of the replica and the RIS rail mounting were anodisedwhich guarantees a high level of protection of the replica against corrosion. The paintwork on the replica itself was Painting process after the surface has been sandblasted. This ensures that the applied colour is much more abrasion-resistant than usual. The rifle is very well fitted and perfectly balanced - a feature previously only known from manufacturers of the G&P or Classic Army class. This ensures almost ideal manoeuvrability of the replica, while the weight is also barely noticeable as soon as the replica rests against the shoulder.

The replica uses a New generation quick-change spring system, the so-called SAEC™. This means that the performance of the replica can be quickly and efficiently adapted to the conditions on the pitch without the need for access to a workshop or a range of specialised tools. Replacing the spring is now even fasterthan the previous version of the system.

Thanks to the SAEC™ system, the gearbox no longer needs to be pulled out of the replica - all you have to do is remove the buttstock and then unscrew the special pin underneath together with the spring guide bearing. Replace the main spring, screw the pin back into the barrel, attach the piston and then.... back into action! The whole process only requires a long Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the piston.
The advantages of the SAEC™ system can hardly be overestimated. In view of the prevailing tendency throughout Europe to legally limit the firing speed of replicas and the regulations within the municipalities themselves, this system guarantees the user considerable possibilities and a great deal of freedom. The SAEC™ system makes it possible to replace the mainspring with a minimum of time and thus adapt the discharge speed of the replica to the playing area, ensuring an ideal compromise between the effectiveness of firepower and the safety of oneself and other players.

The replica has been fully adapted for operation with LiPo and LiFe batteries. With an initial discharge speed of ~430 FPS which is guaranteed by the factory-installed main spring, the replica is perfectly suited for use at medium distances.

The gearbox, which is reinforced at cylinder head height, conceals a steel spring guide that is part of the SAEC™ system and is mounted on 8 mm ball bearings and washers Steel gears is mounted. The system is secured against reversing by four pawls. The lightweight plastic piston made of polycarbonate is equipped with a set of steel teeth to increase its strength. The trigger device is mounted on a 14 mm left-hand thread so that a silencer can be fitted in its place.

To increase the realism of the game, the replica is also equipped with a actuated shutter release equipped.

The replica also comes with a steel high-cap magazine that holds 300 rounds.
