Description

Telescope Skywatcher BK 1141EQ1

The Sky Watcher BK1141EQ1 telescope offers an affordable price, high mobility and extensive features. It is the ideal model for entry into the world of amateur astronomy and is often chosen as the first telescope. A special system has been built into the optical axis of the telescope that extends the focal length of the telescope to 1000 mm while retaining the compact dimensions of the tube.

Optical system:

Reflector telescope (Newtonian system) with an aperture of 114mm and a focal length of 1000mm. Due to the moderate focal length ratio, the telescope enables the observation of planets and the moon as well as bright deep-sky objects such as star clusters or nebulae. A telescope with this aperture can see about 190 times more light than the human eye at night, allowing the observation of objects up to almost 12 magnitudes (up to 6 magnitudes are visible to the naked eye). The size of the mirror is also related to the optical resolution, which allows this telescope to separate stars that are more than 1.2″ apart.

Assembly:

The EQ1 equatorial assembly is equipped with micromovements and allows the telescope to be adjusted according to the atlas or sky charts and to move smoothly along the right ascension and declination axes. The assembly should be properly adjusted and aligned with the north pole of the sky for easy and comfortable operation of the telescope. The assembly can be equipped with a drive that enables automatic tracking of objects in the sky.

Focusser:

The telescope is equipped with a focusser that allows the use of 1.25″ eyepieces. The set contains two 10 and 25mm lenses with 40 and 100x magnification and a Barlow 2x lens with 80x and 200x magnification.

Astronomical observations:

1. solar system

- Objects on the lunar surface that are larger than 1 - 2 km;

- Sunspots and their structure;

- all the planets in the solar system;

- the phases of Venus

- Mars

- Jupiter's equatorial belt and the Galilean moons

-the rings of Saturn and the largest moon Titan

-Uranus and Neptune are also within range of this telescope

- Asteroid movement against the background of the stars

- Observations of bright comets

2. stars

- about 1.8 million stars in the sky, which shine up to a magnitude of about 12-12.5

-Double and multiple stars that are separated from each other at an angle of more than 1.5″

- the colours of many bright stars

3. deep sky objects

-Hundreds of open star clusters

-Many globular clusters with clearly visible stars at the edge

- Dozens of galaxies, the brighter ones have a visible shape

- many bright nebulae in which structures are already visible

- beautiful planetary nebulae

Ground observations

A telescope with this type of optics is not suitable for ground observations. To invert the image, use the so-called erecting lens, thanks to which we can invert (straighten) the image.
