The UAR 501 from APS is a Innovative replica equipped with a special hybrid gearbox that bears the brand name "APS HYBRiD Gearbox" bears. The abbreviation UAR stands for Urban Assault RifleThis is a model designed for MOUT activities (combat in an urban environment) and CQB (short distances). The compactness and high manoeuvrability of the replica was achieved thanks to the bullpup system. Inside, we have succeeded in accommodating an effective 385mm inner barrel, whereby the overall length of the replica is only 645mm.

Almost the entire receiver is made of reinforced polymer plastic. The thick butt plate is made of thick rubber. The replica has a long, upper 22mm RIS rail and three rails on the front grip. Thanks to them, the rifle can be equipped with a whole range of additional tactical accessories, from optics to grips and tactical torches to laser target indicators.

The replica is incredibly functional - it has three magazine releases, one next to the stock and two on the pistol grip - they can be operated with the index finger. The firing mode selector is ambidextrous, and the reloading handle can also be moved to the other side - making the Replica easy to use for both right- and left-handed shooters. After pulling back the charging handle, the chamber can be accessed; the bolt catch button is located on the rear of the stock.

The battery is housed inside the stock. The pistol grip has a compartment for 2 spare 123A batteries. The replica is supplied with metal high-cap magazines with a capacity of 190 300 BBs delivered.

The heart of the UAR 501 is the new v.3 "APS HYBRiD" gearbox. It has been developed and manufactured with innovative and more user-friendly technology and is, according to the manufacturer's comparative tests 33% more efficient in terms of energy consumption than the standard system. It is equipped with a Quick spring change system which allows the user to change the muzzle velocity of the bullet without having to open the gearbox. The set contains 2 additional main springs.

The reinforced gear wheels are limited to 8 mm mounted on metal bearings. The electrical system consists of silver-plated, low-impedance cables which ensure stable operation, and the motor of the replica is equipped with a metal core. The cylinder and the precision inner tube with a diameter of 6.04 mm are made of stainless steel.

For an assault rifle, the muzzle velocity in combination with the optimal length of the inner barrel and its reduced diameter is ideal for assault attacks and shooting at medium distances with high efficiency and focus.
